I just got done playing a few online races with a buddy. Man we were
close. GPL is a great driving model but after 10 laps you have a pretty
good gap and most of the time if I am in lead I am just lapping to keep
gap. Well in SCGT we were running at the limit the whole race, tail out
every corner. It may not be up to GPL but may it was themost fun I have
had online racing in a while. Additionally the warping was not bad at all
and his ping was around 600ms. I was in shock since with GPL you find it
hard to stay connected at 400ms. It needs a bit of work especially on the
sounds, but its a great start. The grass could use a bit of work to since
a couple of corners I was using the grass to hook me around the corner WFO
in 5th. Also there is a big differnce in how the cars handle. I was
suprised the difference int eh M3 and the Panoz. Well I for one will be
eagerly awaiting the full game. My pathetic little Pac Bell P1 233 with no
L2 cache ran game great even online.
