Australian wheels

I'm looking to upgrade to a better wheel than the T2 that I'm currently using. Importing a Thomas would cost me more than a thousand bucks so I'm looking to buy a good quality wheel that is made in Australia. Any ideas, fellow Aussies. thanks. roy

A1 Advantage by Ferraro or the Hyperstimulator are both made in Australia. The Hyperstimulator is a bit more than just a wheel though. Bye, Ian

http://www.ferrarodesign.com.au/ The advantage one is definately high end, $400 bucks I think. It isnt a TSW though from what I can tell of the pictures of both. For my money try the Advantage 1 from Ferraro Design in Melbourne. Not quite the TSW but a great wheel with even better pedals. try www.ferrarodesign.com.au I have had one for around 9mths and honestly cannot think of a single negative issue. Priced around 400AUD (or approx 11.29 USD - LOL). let me know if you want further feedback from a happy user. > I'm looking to upgrade to a better wheel than the T2 that I'm currently > using. Roy, Check out www.ferrarodesign.com.au for the Advantage 1 wheel. Aussie made, and very good quality. But no force feedback yet. Price is about $399 including postage and handling. If you're in Melbourne, there's a shop in Camberwell (sp?) which stocks it. If you want more realism, go to www.hyperstim.com and check out the Aussie designed and made Hyper Stimulator. A full ***pit you can sit in, with paddles for gearchanging, or a sequential shifter like an Indycar, can be tailor made to what you want, or even for particular games! Brad Jones, Greg Murphy, Russell Ingall, Frank Biela all use one. Team KOOL Green has a few, as does the Williams F1 team. -- Nathan Wong http://www.nectar.com.au/~alfacors Alfa Romeo - Super Touring - Club Cars http://fullspeed.to/astc Australian Super Touring Championship News and Information
I've been using a Ferraro "Advantage" combo since December 1998 and cannot fault the operation of it. Because the tensioning is by springs, and not bungee cord, there is a certain "mechanical" sound to it but that has eased with use. The pots are exceptionally stable and accurate, the feel of the wheel and pedals is very good. I raised the pedal unit and also angled it further by about 15 degrees.....feet feel much more comfortable now. One thing is for sure.....this will last a lot longer than the plasticky stuff available and, as a bonus, Jason stands by his warranty.
