I recently had a chance to interview Dave Ross, the producer of the game. I asked many of the questions that have been posted here. Some of the answers may please you, others probably won't. But, at least some of the questions many have been asking have been answered. The interview is posted at www.pcsportsgames.com ------------------ Jeff Downey Racing Editor www.pcsportsgames.com **** Posted from RemarQ - http://www.remarq.com - Discussions Start Here (tm) ****
Yeah, its the old tried and true spiel. "Our goal was to provide a user of our game with the sights, sounds, fanfare, and overall experience of attending a NASCAR Winston Cup race, while allowing them to go one step further, and actually race as their favorite driver. It is a simulation consistent with other EA SPORTS simulations--a simulation of the sport with the emphasis on competition and fun gameplay." Nice slick marketing BS; and backpedaling.
