My 2 cents, I like it BUT...
1. When wheeliing, the back end hits too soon, and the bike should
drop back down if you pull back even the slightest (in the real world,
just tapping the rear brake does the trick). The throttle is
unrealistically sensitive when the front tire is up. So it seems
impossible to ride a wheelie without crashing. From the game, you'd
think that the leading cause of accidents during races is wheeliing
onto your backside.
2. If you slow down for a tight corner, the steering often becomes
WAY too sensitive causing you to go off the track on the INSIDE
of the corner. Very unrealistic and annoying.
3. You ought to be able to get over 20mph when off the track. In
the REAL world, this wouldn't be safe, but possible.
4. In the real world If you hit a low wall head on at 150mph while
wheeling, you don't just stop dead in your tracks, but go FLYING.
5. In the real world, you must use the clutch to get a good start.
Nobody starts with the rpm's in the ba***t, but rev up and
slip it to go (the castrol game was a bit better at this, but had
too many other flaws). There needs to be some sort of clutch
control.
6. In the real world, hay-bales are soft.
7. The engine sounds are pathetic.
Also, Wouldn't it be great if...
1. the bike was visibly damaged after a crash? Missing body work,
etc.
2. there was wind noise at high speed, in order to provide a better
sense of speed
3. the other riders would ever make mistakes without your help.
4. there was more control over replay vantage point
5. you could make your own bikes and tracks
Don't get me wrong, it is by far the best motorcycle sim to date,
but there is certainly much room for improvement. I'm glad real
motorcycling isn't as hard.
Did you ever hit one? I tell ya man - they are damn pretty tough! <g>
IMHO they play in the GPL league...
I'm with u here.
yep!
:-))
But it is much more dangerous.

1, Agreed. I would love to wheelie across the finishing line but many a
good replay has been ruined by my bike finishing a few seconds bewfore me!
2. It becomes sensisitve because your forks are compressed and you have
effectively changed the rake. Fairly realistic if you ask me.
3. Totally agree. I hate falling over at slow speeds when I have often
seen GP and SBK riders (especially ex motocross riders like Gobert),
scream back onto the track from the grass.
4. You usually get to wave to the spectators as you fly over their heads
as well! (150MPH headon...ouch!)
5. With the manual sitting up I reckon an extra control for the clutch
would just make the game too hard.
6. Not the hundreds I have seen pople hit over the years. Softer than a
guardrail but....
7. Some are okay. The kawasaki sucks bad!
Great stuff......
1. Damaged fairing, bent handlebars, flat spotted tires, missing footpegs
etc. That would be brilliant. You could pretend your Wayne gardner!
2. Wind noise and screams as you fly though the air anticipating the
horrendous injuries to be reieved on landing.
3. I have often seen spectacular multi bike pile ups cuased by the AI
bikes stuffing up.
4. Replays should continue until after all bikes cross the line. That
woulkd be good too.
5. Yes please.

I'm glad real > motorcycling isn't as hard.A funny thing happened at Hockenheim. Coming around the last corner
on the last lap, I crashed into the pit lane divider... though I ended
up on the outside of the pits, the pit 'automation' took over and
dragged my bike which was on its side the length of the starting
straight. Pretty wierd. The race just ended.
Except that I'm not on the brakes at that point. In my time spent on
a motorcycle in the real world, I've never felt a tendency to go off
the INSIDE of a corner. For instance, the first tight left-hand on
Laguna Seca, for the life of me, I cannot keep from going inside.
Exactly!
Just something to better simulate slipping the clutch to get a good
start. Perhaps just having to shift from nuetral would work?
I guess I hadn't played enough. I came up to a corner where like 10
bikes were scattered all over, and I had nothing to do with it.
Also, is there a way to see a replay without having to finish the
race?
