They tease by having a link to the 21MB demo, but it isn't there yet.
However, you can dl the 8.5MB video. Reports on other websites indicates the
playable demo may be out by this weekend (hoping).
EA's Sports Car GT website and demo impressions
The website for EA's Sports Car GT, developed by Image Space Incorporated, went up with a video, and the demo followed. Impressions were mixed: players found it much better than NASCAR Revolution but merely adequate in graphics, physics and force feedback, and some initially missed the hidden in-car view.
Automated summary.
April 7th according to EB World.EA has the final gold
copy,www.imagespaceinc.com,the developers site says it's finished.I can't
wait!!!!
Hopefully, this won't be the piece of ***that NASCAR Revolution was.

I played the Demo. No in-car view (why do companies insist on not
giving us a realistic in-car view?).
I just can't get into this 'bumper-cam' arcade stuff...

From EA? Are you kidding?
I played the Demo. I'ts MUCH, MUCH better than NasRev, but it's no
Viper.
Also, no in-car view. That sucks.

RTFRM! :-) Bumper view, 2x F4 for incar view.

You mean "Voila, a picture of a***pit pasted onto your screen". ;-)

How about the***pit itself? On my system it just sits there, no hint
of suspension or cornering forces.
I'm kind of disappointed in SCGT overall. It doesn't seem to do
anything really badly, nor anything really well. Graphics, physics
model, gameplay, force feedback support - all are adequate. I would be
more impressed if it really shined in at least one area. Maybe I'm
missing something?

There is an in-car view. Try reading the readme
file that came with it.

at limit. Tho it may just be me. The Panoz does not lean too much but the
M3 and trainer do.
Dave
Try the M3, it has pretty pronounced body roll, also try looking at the
car from one of the TV views when you are close to the camera.
The physics are pretty accurate, I've been involved in racing for over
15 years and I think part of what we're experiencing is the dramatic
difference in technology from GPL to SCGT. These cars DO stick, however
if you heat the tires too much they will go away on you.
Having said that, I agree the***pit and the graphics need some work
but that should be cleaned-up by the time it goes gold. I also hope they
will give us the ability to view replays from inside the game (at least
in pratice mode).
It's there buddy, hit number 1 on the main keyboard that will put you
"inside" the hit F4 twice to bring-up the dash.

That, for me, sums up SCGT in a nutshell. It's...."nice", but at a
time when "nice" isn't that impressive anymore.
What I'd really like to see is something akin to Gran Turismo, a bit
tougher, more emphasis on realism, and with the GPL driving engine.
Then I could race my 900hp Skyline online :-)
Cheers!
John
Pretty sure I did this, but I will check again.
Thanks!

I will try this.
Thanks!

Again, thanks for the tip. I'll try that.
Thanks!

What I mean is that they are static 2d images, but they can move in their
environment. Per example in N2 the "3d engine" behind the***pit will move
depending on the acceleration/braking. The same goes for Grand Prix 2 I
think, no ?

Hell, I'd just like to see it excel in ONE area (graphics being the
least important). For example, if it had great physics or great force
feedback I would probably get it.
