Will there be one, anyone heard anything. I have the same likes and dislikes as everyone else has about SODA. I would love to see it with better graphics and sound.

George Papaioannou wrote I don't think that Software Allies and/or Papyrus has plans for a sequel. I think if you make a little research on dejanews.com about Soda and Steven Travers (who posted here on r.a.s.), you will see a confirmation about this. The simulation is great, but I seriously doubt there is a serious market for this. -= Fran?ois Mnard <ymenard/Nas-Frank> -= NROS Nascar sanctioned Guide http://www.nros.com/ -= SimRacing Online http://www.simracing.com/ -= Official mentally retarded guy of r.a.s. -= May the Downforce be with you... >Agreed! They could update it by getting the license from Mickey Thompson >(I think) and having the arena races, etc. They could put in accurate FF >that would be similar to the FF in Viper, and Powerslide. >If they did all this, I wouldn't have a normal life anymore... hehe!! Maybe they could just deliver on that promise of the D3D patch......... That they then cancelled :P Z. Please remove NOSPAM from my email address when replying.

Jay Wolfe wrote I think it's a little different.. everybody knows that GPL was somehow a R&D project for the new game engine. Soda, even if it's a great product, seriously had a little market because it's a serious simulator (even with arcade-style graphics). Papyrus knew that GPL wouldn't sell much (as it's not really for the mass market). Of course Im sure we would all love one (expand it to the Baja1000 or even the Paris-Dakar Rally). But the Baja1000 project that was done by a company was shut down also btw. I don't think it can be a good seller. For us *** simracers, probably yes, but not the mass market.
