GPL modem link won't work, in spite of the core.ini

2 posts by 2 people · 23 Feb 1999 - 23 Feb 1999

After installing the core.ini in the GPL directory, the linking started and went further than before, but ended directly after the synchronizing-process. Any ideas what this cause could be? The FIFO-buffers were both low and the baudrate was set to 21600 bps. Any good ideas? Thanks :-) Wouter
The core.ini thing seems to have always worked in the past, so I'm stuck. I know we do have one modem in-house that just won't connect with any of the other modems we have (even with some of the same model from the same manufacturer). All of the other modems connect to each other without problems. I haven't tried this (it just occured to me), but I believe it's possible to flash updated drivers into some modems. You might try that and see if it helps. Randy
