I ran out an bought Nascar Revolution after playing the demo BIG MISTAKE. Do
not waste your money this game doesn't work for shit. I have played
everything from Nascar Racing to Viper Racing, Indycar Racing, F1. This game
crashed every 3 minutes without reason. The sound total freaks out and the
AI acts like it was programmed by 2 year olds. I can't believe EA would
release this product. I could go into every little thing that went wrong
with this game but it would take all night and the people at EA could use it
to fix the game. Right now the last thing I would like to do is give them
any info that may help in making this game work. This is a warning to all my
fellow sim racing buddies DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. If you don't trust this
post, email me your phone number and I will call and tell you in person how
much this game sucked.

Nascar Racing 1999 (or 2) has a great arcade mode for those who didn't know.

If you're a 'simulation' fan, why did you buy Nascar Revolution in the first
place? It's an 'arcade' racer, not a 'simulator'
Were you able to return the game and get your money?

EA blurb from Fry's ad on 2/24:
NASCAR
REVOLUTION
* AUTHENIC RACING
The first raceable PC Racing Simulation -- it's only hard to drive well
enough to win [??!?]
* REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY
Motion captured pit crews, advanced physics model, and comprehensive car
setup options
* RACE TO WIN

I could not agree more. I enjoy both "arcade" game and "sim" games,
but Revolution is all eye-candy. It has some of the most beuatiful
graphics at times, but it has a ton of bugs. The worst is the
computer taking control of your car down pit lane, and exiting, under
yellow being a lap down can be a nightmare, I had the program
accelerate the car by the leaders and all of a sudden stop. It has
even crashed me into other cars, and the worst is whe exiting the game
it does that fly-by over your car and then exits. It does not even
remeber your preferred viewing position. The game has a ton of
potential, but is just lacking proper playability.
