Not satisfied with graphics performance Vd2-12MB

Hello, I've just upgraded from a P166 (with Diamond Monster II - OMB) to a PII-350 (with ASUS V3400 TNT and Diamond Monster 3D - 12MB) and up until now am a bit disappointed in graphics performance (using MGPRS2 (Glide) as reference-game): The game stutters every now and than, I didn't experience this using my good old P166 with 8MB Monster board. Even disabling "replay" and configuring the lowest graphics detail (both track & car) doesn't solve it! It's really annoying! I'm almost sure it has to do with some kind of hard and/or software setting but don't know where to start. Yesterday I downloaded the latest VooDooII driver (Diamond Site) so it can't be the Glide driver. Also every now and then the game totally freezes resulting in a "black window" in my Windows (98) desktop. Does anybody out here share the same problems and/or have a solution or suggestion(s)? I have twin Creative Labs Voodoo2 12mb cards and it depends on the game. Quake and Half-Life... makes a HUGE difference. Falcon 4.0... I believe it does not recognize SLI. I am not sure if GPL or the NR1999 will recognize SLI mode. Also depends on your CPU as whether it has horsepower to push the twin cards. Andrew B.

No game can recognize SLI, it's completely transparent to the game. But some games will benefit from SLI and some won't, due to their engine. l8er ronny -- Your mouse has moved.
