Just arrived today, picked a copy up at lunch.
Thumbing through the manual.
Looks cool.
AI settings,(Arcade, SIMULATION, or Custom)
Driving settings (Opponent strength, Drafting Effect, Horsepower, Car
Balance, Speed-Sensitive Steering)
Equipment Breakdowns (includes cutting down a tire)
Rear-View mirror(As you know, this was not in the demo can be toggled on or
off)
Qualifying
Drafting settings for Dega (awesome fun potential here),
Numerous car setup options, (All Papy settings and also wedge, fuel, track
bar)
Ability to look left, right or behind,
Every track except the following: DAYTONA (which no one can get) Dover (I
hope they expand later) and NHIS (Loudon, a track of truly boring
proportions, a Martinsville on steroids).
Championship season or single race.
Car files are bitmaps, easy to edit.
Multiplayer and internet player modes
A full 43 car field!
Damage settings
Black flags for rough driving.
A performance graph that you can toggle to compare practice runs under
different setups.
But alas, I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't sadly report to you
that just as in the demo, you do not drive your car in & out of the pits.
We'll have to see how it stacks up to N99 by Papy since that's all they have
out to compare it with. (Oh, unless you count that sorry-ass cartoon-class
movie they call a demo! HAHAHAHA!)
I just bought my copy too. Let's hope it's a good one. The demo was pretty
cool.
Wow has anyone played Nascar 98 for playstation??
Sounds just like it, you can change the drafting effect, speed sensitive
steering, custom driving model, all things from that game. Sounds like a
great arcade game. Not much for someone who wants to have a challenge and
fair competition. And all stuff from a sim. I guess the NFS drivers will
be happy though.

I'm not a hard core sim guy, so I guess thats the reason. As far as
all of this bickering back and forth about which is better......... Just be
glad you're not staring at b&w pong right now. Enjoy what you have! I'm hooked
on Nascar Rev. and N99. I like variety not just one thing. N99 is a good driver
but looks like crap. Revolution looks awsome and drives okay. Why do so many
people have a problem with that? EA does a good job bringing the TV experience
home. I'ld sure like to know how many people in here actually drive a WHOLE
race. If you do, you need to go outside and get some fresh air.

(Oh, unless you count that sorry-ass cartoon-class > >movie they call a demo! HAHAHAHA!)Well, Ive spent the afternoon playing this game and I have to say im not
impressed that much with it. It will not replace N2! They graphics are nice
indeed and has some nice features but the lack of speed feel just kills it.
You can get the feel of speed and handling with the front bumper view only
(I have a 467mhz w/12mb voodoo2). The other views feel like you barely
moving.
I wouldnt recomend anyone spending money on it. If you can get it for a demo
tryout, id suggest that as the only alternative then delete it after your
bored with it
