And where can I find this download? Thanks, Danny

Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult and would certainly add to the immersion. I tried the Castrol Honda demo with my wheel. It worked OK but seemed a little weird. Also if I remember, it seemed a wheel required a little (a lot?) more rotation than is needed with handle bars to get a bike to change direction. At the risk of restarting that endless thread about how a bike turns at speed, it would be nice to have a bar with stiff resistance that allowed a little opposite nudge to get the bike to heel over. -Mike

And, ...who is your present employer?

Here we go again. Danny, The 'download' in question is an illegal copy posted on a warez site. Whether it is the final version I am not sure. I'm not going to get into the morals of warez. However, I understand this to be an honest newsgroup that aims to be informative & helpful to auto sim enthusiasts. To the extent that employees from the developers of the said sims also partake & use the newsgroup for valuable feedback. Some even link & refer to RAS. Referring to obtaining illegal copies of software IMHO goes against the basic aims of this newsgroup, and undermines the relationship between the enthusiasts & developers. You will find others will be less polite in dismissing posts referring to obtaining warez versions on this group. I believe yours to be an innocent post enquiring how to get hold of a perceived demo copy, but prepare to be flamed. Cheers Tony >And where can I find this download? >Thanks, >Danny
it could work with FF, cause it would stiffen up with the speed of the bike. but there is actually very little input needed to steer a bike So I fear the controllers just will not be sensitive enough therefore relying on a wider range of motion. also just think of getting tank slap with the Force Feedback. BTW 1994 YZF 750 for sale, bike is awesome, fully polished frame, swingarm and rims, SS2R full race, bike on Long Island, 5K miles. $6500. it's my baby. will not find a nicer YZF on the planet. -- Kevin Anderson ICQ # 6769389 >> Full blown replay feature. Tony... Thanks for that! I myself actually tried to add a "where is it?" post here. I guess I'm fortunate that for some reason it didn't make it. I had no idea was "warez" referred to. Being a developer myself, I wholeheartedly agree with your statement that "obtaining illegal copies of software IMHO goes against the basic aims of this newsgroup, and undermines the relationship between the enthusiasts & developers." See you tomorrow at The Glen!

Some people have stated that they could not find a demo for the Superbikes game. I found one at the Adrenaline Vault. There might be a warez version out there but if you want the legit version go to the vault! Might take me all day to get it a 56k though since it's 47MB. Vintook

>New demo available on >http://www.avault.com/pcrl/ >Tony What's new about it? It's 47Mb but I don't care for animations etc, I just want to know if the physics model has changed?? cheers, Mike.
Unfortunately I've no idea - as my download failed after about 11Mb. I just wanted to let people know there was an up to date EA demo available what with the posts about downloading warez versions Cheers Tony

I agree with Mike. I'm not gonna dl it until I know the physics and handling model has been fixed. Anyone know whats different?

Ain't that the truth? Considering all the *** controllers coming out these days, it seems that designers have enough time on their hands to try a motorcycle controller. There's certainly enough motorcycle games out and forthcoming to justify such a thing. However, I haven't heard of a motorcycle controller period, much less a force feedback version. Here's a thought - Sportbike guys will probably want swept back handlebars while dirt bike guys will probably want straighter and/or riser bars. A good way to please both might be to imitate the top of the fork and have the actual bars as clip-ons, so the individual owners could angle them to imitate their favorite ride. My $0.02 Neil M.
