After many probs with GPL and Colin McRae with diamond voodoo2, I have
found a fix. Install direct x 6.1 (dx6.1eng), this fixes the Colin McRae
white polygon problem with voodoo 2 drivers. Only catch is, you MUST use
the diamond voodoo2 drivers 2.03.
DRIVERS 2.07 will crash GPL.
Using 2.03 will allow you to run GPL and Colin McRae. Only problem is
there is no co-driver voice and some sound effects have gone from Colin
McRae. Don't know if that is a direct x problem or CMR patch problem.
I use DirectX 6.1 and the Diamond 207 drivers. For GPL I took the file
Glide2x.dll from drivers 203 and placed it in the main GPL directory and it
runs fine. The co driver voice missing in CMR seems to be related to the
TOCA 2 demo. To fix this,take the file QMixer.dll from the CMR CD and place
it in the main CMRally directory. This worked for me.

For GPL, you can run the latest DirectX and Diamond
drivers as long as you have the 2.53 version of glide2x.dll in your GPL
directory.
