Yep guys,
Currently you still need a full, pay for it, TEN account to access the
NROS on TEN, but as of Thursday, a TRIAL version of NROS will be
accessible with a Free TEN account/screename that is available to
anyone.
Only 2 tracks will be available, and no rankings will be on offer, but
it will allow anyone to at least experience what online stock car
racing is like. I know plenty of Brits and no doubt many Europeans who
would have liked to have a bash on TEN but have been put off by the
bother of it all etc... well now it looks like ya can!
NOTE: ISP's will still be critical. Anyone in UK using Pipex, Demon,
BT, even Freeserve should do OK, others such as U-Net and Netkonnect
should work to. Just look for constant sub 300 pings to abyss.ten.net
and valhalla.ten.net.. Best if nearer 220-240.
I'll make sure that relevant info is posted in the next couple of
days, so please log in and just get a free account. It would be more
than interesting to be able to host a race of 10 or so people purely
from this side of the pond.
Thanks!
