I suppose to use your home stereo for sound? I have a live with the 4speaker plus subwoofer dedicated for sim use but serious audiophiles may use line out. JM

Line out signals are "cleaner, quieter" signals intended for speakers with a seperate amplifier. My Live! card has two line outs, front and rear. My copy of GPL didn't come with a book "4 Wheel Drift", was that bundled with your copy? I missed out I guess.

The only difference between line-out and speaker-out is the impedance. A wrong impedance could damage yor sound card or amplifyer. I never experienced it though, but... better save than sorry. // Johan

Yes, very confusing how people refer to it as a book instead of just saying "the instruction manual." rob.

If they have their own power supply you should use the line-out. The need for power indicates that there's an amplifier integrated in the speakers and thus you should use the line-out. // Johan > Oki, > So what would be best to use with my shitty $10 speakers then? :) > They *even* got their own power supply... <G!>
Well if it's any comfert to you... The "4WD" book isn't the instriuction manual, but the s.c. "stategy guide that cam with GPL... hence i didnt refer to is as the instruction manual.. :) -- All the best, Edwin Solheim *remove SPAM-GUARD in address to reply* The Paddock - a legendary site.... <http://home.c2i.net/thepaddock> rob skrev i meldingen ... >Yes, very confusing how people refer to it as a book instead >of just saying "the instruction manual." >rob. >>hehe, ooops, hehe I found my book. hehemm. sorry. >>>Line out signals are "cleaner, quieter" signals intended for speakers with >>a >>>seperate amplifier.
