Sorry to hear about your eventful Wednesday. As for Thrustmaster, they
are great with customer service and replacements. I emailed the
address at thrustmaster.co.uk and within days I had some more pedal
springs. Funny thing was, Iwas after the ones that hold the
foot-pushing bit up, not the actual pedal spring (T2). Then that broke
the next day anyway! and I was able to get the other spring from a
friend.
The thing is I live close to Camberley (T. HQ), and as my T2 feels as
clapped out as ever, I am thinking of going over there and seeing how
many freebies I can persuade out of them. <g> If you want some, gimme
a note and I'll see what I can pick up... Anyone else? (UK)
(I got the spring from my friend as his T2 went wonky, he took the
wheel part to the HQ and came away with a whole new T2!! Hence he has
a spare pair of pedals in the cupboard albeit without a spring. :))
Thanks!

*boring rant alert*
Wednesday night. Get homework out of the way. Turn round to pick up
steering wheel and drop keyboard. Spacebar and "u" key now not working
very well.
Settle into a driving session at Monza. Spin off regularly. Get
frustrated. Give up.
Thursday. Wake up. Neck hurts (damn pillows). Go to school. Get bored.
6PM - Go to friend's house. Do not a lot for 2 hours. Come in from
friend's house. Watch TV. Turn on computer. HD develops it's 9th bad
sector in 3 months. Run scandisk. Start windows. Have quick blast on N2,
but get bored and fire up GPL. Going down Monza front stretch, brakes
suddenly apply themselves. Reboot. Problem remains. Recalibrate several
times. Problem remains.
Open up wheel and attempt to clean pots several times. Restart GPL,
recalibrate. Problem remains. (thanks anyway Paul)
Go to Thrustmaster website to register for new pots. Enter registration
information. Look on in frustration as repeated attempts to register
fail, since my information "is already in the database" despite not
registering before.
Girlfriend phones. Gets annoyed at my less-than-happy mood.
Decide to play some music. Stereo chews tape. Look at clock. Realise
I've missed favourite TV show. Spill drink.
Write message to r.a.s about my wonderful day. Glance at notebook.
Realise there's some homework I forgot to do. Look at clock. It's
12.15am.
Post message and give up. Go to bed.

Hi Graeme,
We all get these days once in a while. Here I am trying to put off doing my
tax return on the last possible available day before I get the 100 fine.
I'd like to go onto VROC but the modem on my P400 went phut last night and I
can't race GPL on this old crawler.
Anyway I posted some more suggestions against you previous post - hope
there's something helpful for you there.
Let's hope tommorrow is better for both of us,
Cheers,
Paul

Mon- Find out i have test Tuesday
Tue- Fail test miserably, Play hockey with friends for hour...sprain muscle in
chest.
Wed- sleep late...miss 2 periods of school, cant play GPL cause of pain
Thurs- still in pain, attempt to play GPL....theroretically kill myself about
15 times. Fianlly give up and try GP2...loose race at France after getting
pole, setting fast lap, and leading wire to wire (save the last lap). Power
Surge causes computer to go crazy and loose 20 thousand bytes. no school
friday (yay) but have about 8 hrs of homework (damn).
All in all quite a bad week.
Chris
Stay in school for as long as you can. The real world sucks. I would go
back to college in a second if I could. All I can do is wish.
