howdy, i was wondering if u could help me, i bought a Logitech Wingman
Formula Force Wheel and i can't seem to get it
work with GP2. It is a serial device and i have it plugged into COM 2
(it can also be plugged into a USB port but i havent got
the connector yet) i'm not sure if that is a problem or not. I have my
sidewinder joystick in my game port (on the soundcard)
that works fine. i just cant seem to get GP2 to acknowledge my wheels
existance. any assistance or theories you may have
will be much apprecitated.
thanks in advance

Unless Logitech provides a driver to "emulate" the device to appear on
the I/O port 201 as a "joystick", DOS games like GP2 simply can't see
the device on the serial port.

Maybe if you run the game from windows, doesn't think it will work, but it
win't cost you nothing....
GP2 works fine for me running it in Win98. I dont think it will work at
all in pure DOS since the serial port won't be recognised as a game port.
You ned to run GP2 from in a Windows DOS session.
In Windows we use a virtual joystick port so that DOS games won't know that
the WFF is actually on a faster port that uses less CPU bandwidth. I am not
aware of any DOS games that will look for a controller on the serial port. I
am certain that none of them will work with USB.
The answer is run your DOS games from inside of Windows, then there won't be
any problems.
