MGPRS2 Controller Problems

3 posts by 2 people · 18 Jan 1999 - 25 Jan 1999

Hey, all! I am having MAJOR controller problems in MGPRS2. I have tried several joysticks and my two wheels, and ALL exhibit this problem ONLY IN THIS GAME. As I move the accelerator along its axis, the throttle slowly opens, then floors it (and I hear the wheels spinning). Then, when I lift the accelerator, the front wheels lock up (floored brakes), but the rears freewheel! This makes the game completely unplayable. This is using the default setups (no funky settings here), and in the Realistic Mode. I have tried setting the sensitivity sliders to different positions, but all this affects is the dead zone. I also have tried reinstalling (3 times), and the patched and unpatched versions. System specs... AMD K6-2 300MHz VIA MVP3 100MHz AGP Mainboard, 1MB L2 Cache 96MB 100MHz PC-100 SDRAM WD 3.2GB UDMA HDD Samsung 1.44MB FDD Acer 24x CD-ROM Matrox Mistique 220 4MB PCI Diamond Monster 3D II 8MB PCI Creative Sound Blaster 16 PnP ThrustMaster ACM Game Card Zoom 33.6 V.34 Faxmodem ThrustMaster Top Gun Platinum Joystick, ThrustMaster Attack Throttle Thanks in advance! - John P. Be sure to go to Game Controllers and the Advanced settings and uncheck Poll with interrupts enabled. Worked for me.

Poll >with interrupts enabled. Worked for me. Thanks for the tip, BUT IT'S NOT CHECKED. I have done many other things to try it out, including different versions of DirectX and a Windows 98 reinstall, but this persists. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PLEASE HELP ME!!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - John P.
