GPL - Banshee/Dx6??

Just got a Diamond Monster Fusion 16MB card, and GPL is a dream - BUT: the computer needs a reboot if I want to restart GPL after playing and exiting once. If I try to run DxInfo or Setup, the screen goes black, and everything dies. The game always loads the 3dfx splash, then hangs...which leads me to believe this is a Dx6 problem? Would be grateful for any help! Matt Knutsen

Unzip (but do not install) dirctx5, (from any free cd with any pc magazine) look for a file called glide2x.dll and copy it to your GPL directory. This should cure your problem. Directx6 uses a newer version of this file (v2.54) but GPL needs v2.53 (from directx5). So placing the directx5 file in your GPL directory ensures GPL runs ok, but doesn't affect your directx6 installation. 8-) *Peter* #:-)
