Is there any way to disable or turn off the wheel spin feature in N2 \ n99?
Its a pain and I don't like it but can't seem to keep is from occurring in the
pits or on the track. Help. Thanks.
Be gentle with the throttle. Works wonders :-)
Less than 70% throttle should keep wheelspin to a min.
If you're having trouble with N2/1999 wheelspin, don't try
GPL - you'll be in for a hell of a shock/spin/crash/flip/fire/replay.

To the best of my knowledge, there's no option box where you can turn
on/off the wheel spin. Are you using button or pedal for
acceleration? If you are using button, double-tapping will cause
wheel spin to occur. If you're using pedal, don't try to floor it.
Just gradually step on the gas.

If you use a joystick button for throttle control, here's something you should
know: Clicking the throttle button once and holding produces no wheelspin;
double-clicking and holding the throttle button creates wheelspin. For pedal
users, wheelspin occurs at about 70% of full throttle.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and no doubt someone will <g>), but I think I
remember it being touted as a BENEFIT when N2 came out at first! But it
truly is expected to be used only for getting out of a tight pit (can't
remember the exact words), but it IS easier getting out of a pit stall in N2
than N1.

The faked-up wheelspin in N2 isn't very challenging to control. The
car behaves quite predicatably IMO, and is relatively easy to put
where you want it.
Correct, or for getting turned around more safely after an "incident".
Unfortunately, it has the side-effect of (slightly) increasing your
acceleration in a standing start. Whether that's realistic is
somewhat open to debate, but I can tell you IT DOES in N2...
