Well, I had my first successful online race tonight. I want to work out one
issue before I let you all have it. It is the issue of tracking the number
of racers that have joined the GPL sever, and limiting it to the your Max
Racers Limit.
In it's current state, the software has no link to GPL, other than it
launches it from within this software. So the Hoster of the race should
remember the settings he has selected, and when GPL starts, set the options
the same. It wouldn't be very nice telling us all you are going to SPA, and
when we get there you have gone into the "Ring" (not funny).
One of the settings that is important, is the "Practice Length". When you
Host a race, the race will be available on the list of races, for that
amount of time. After that, the file storing the GPL Server information, is
deleted, and nobody can join the race any longer.
I'm hoping to have it available for you all by the weekend (no promises
though). But if you all promise to take it easy on me, and you can live with
it as is while you help me test it, I will let it go out even if it still
has some issues.
There is no Help file... But I will try to get together a quick Readme
before put it up for download.
Don't know what I'm talking about... Check out
