Like many other contributors to this NG, I had been experiencing
freeze-ups in GPL after installing DX6, and none of the other fixes
seemed to do the trick...I still got a frozen cursor at the first menu
screen.
THEN...I realized that the keyboard still worked; i.e., I could type.
SO...in W95 Control Panel, under Accessibility Options, select keyboard
control of cursor.
ET VOILA....no more frozen cursor, I can navigate menus, and the game
runs perfectly.
IN CONCLUSION....frozen mouse may not be the same as frozen
cursor.....try it.
Glad to be running full detail at last,
Your friend in the aether,
Smogbike
