With Nigel pattinson's Carsound patch, you can make GPL use a different
sound for each car. As an experiment, I created the appropriate WAV
files with the contents of other WAV files I'd picked up over the last
few years (mostly spoken phrases). I used these spoken phrase wav files
for the engine sounds in GPL and with 19 cars at the start of a race at
silverstone, it sounded hilarious!
The lotus next to me was saying "You eediot" over and over again, and the
coventry in front of me was saying "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way"
(Jessica Rabbit). LOL - Each chassis had it's own phrase.
I know, I have WAY too much time on my hands...

I did this with the Shadows of the Empire demo and was flying around with a
"raspberry" sounding engine and laser fire was some one saying "pow!".
Changes the feel of the game.

Hehe, in a similar vein I decided to have my BRM repeating Eric
Cartman's "I'm not fat, I'm big-boned" quote...... Now if I could just
get it to say "big-engined", it would be *so* true :-)
