After playing the first GPL demo on my P166 80meg V1000, I was somewhat dissapointed, to say the least. But after giving the latest demo, on the N1999 CD a try, the framerate increase was significant. So joy is me. Now the question I have is, are all the tracks framerates similiar to Watkins Glen. I know it will be unplayable with AI cars, but will it be a good hot-lap sim until I can upgrade?

at the very least it will give you some seat time with the physics engine which will power the next version of nascar from papy/sierra > After playing the first GPL demo on my P166 80meg V1000, I was somewhat > dissapointed, to say the least. If you find the framerate in the demo bearable, you won't be disappointed by the performance of the full product. As you say, it will be a hotlap sim, though. You might try to overclock your CPU to achieve a better framerate. My iP166 runs happily at 2.5x100MHz, which makes GPL much more enjoyable. :) -- Wolfgang Preiss \ E-mail copies of replies to this posting are welcome.
