I just bought GPL after having read the advice in this newsgroup on how to get
this game working with the RIVA TNT 128 video card. When I go to the settings
control panel to change the nvidea drivers over to the 48 version, I'm prompted
by the driver update selection wizard that the current version I'm using
(riva128) is more up to date driver than the version 48 reference drivers. I'm
hesitant to change anything lest the system crash (I've got a DELL XPS
Dimension R450 which is only weeks old). How many of these drivers are
installed when I make this change? Has anyone sucessfully made this change on
this computer system? Are the version 48 drivers older or newer than the driver
that came with the computer? Thanks in advance.
