i have a Packard Bell ,,with the modem that came in it,,hayes compatible it
says. i cannot get the modem to work.. keep getting an error message. I have no
clue what to look at or do. any help would be great

Need more info. What exactly does the error message say? When in N99,
does it say can't initialize modem? Check your COM port settings and IRQ
setting and make sure the game is using the same combination in the
setup page. I just had to get a new modem because I had a Winmodem and
they won't work with the game. I got a really nice one that works great
and it was cheap $40. If you need to replace your modem, make sure it
works under DOS and don't get a winmodem. Here's a link to the modem I
