I have the Thurstmaster NASCAR Pro wheel and pedals. It works great in NASCAR Racing and NASCAR Racing 2. I just recently purchased IndyCar Racing II (aka CART Racing) and tried to use the wheel and pedals. No matter what I do, I can not get it to work correctly. The best I could get it was steering correctly, brake working, but NO GAS. Then the next best was gas and brake working, steering backwards (steer left, it goes right and viseversa) ANY help would be greatly appreciated! (I have the WIN95/MS-DOS CD-rom version) as I do not frequent here enough and would hate to miss any replies. THANKS!

JOIN THE CLUB!!! I have the TM SUPER SPORT wheel and pedal set (I just bought it last week) and I cannot calibrate it to run any MS-DOS based games (like GP2 or RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP for example). When I try to calibrate mine, my brake pedal doesn't work! Does anyone have any idea how the hell to correct this crap? I have been a MICROPROSE GRAND PRIX 2 fan since day one, but now that I have this new wheel (my old wheel was a TM T2 and it worked perfectly, but I just gave it to my brother and I bought the TM SUPER SPORT) I cannot play the game (because the joystick won't calibrate). I have e-mailed ThrustMaster numerous times explaining the problem, but they still haven't replied yet! Any help or ideas on how to correct this bullshit would be greatly appreciated. Cary Martynuik

In order for your Super Sport to work with a "pure" DOS program, it must support the brake and throttle on separate axes. Try the following for GP2: Since GP2 is a pure DOS program, setup via Windows control panel (or TM's will have no affect in GP2). In the a pure DOS environment the following axes apply to the Super Sport: Gas = Y1 or Joystick A Vertical Brake = X2 or Joystick B Horizontal Steering = X1 or Joystick A Horizontal Top row buttons = Joystick A Paddles = Joystick B Select an unused controller setup in GP2 and assign the various options (steering, brake, gas, etc.) to the above. Make sure you have "Control Driven Calibration" checked. Calibrate the wheel according to the on screen instructions and things should work fine. The following is the *.con file for the Super Sport using paddles for shifting. Place the following file in your GPSAVES folder. begin 644 ssport.con MOJ$]A0( & 3+_#$$,!P$R" $R :_Q R#PX 4W5P97)3<&]R= T .()!40 end -- **************************** Michael E. If this doesn't work, try deleting the controls.cfg and calib.val files from ICRII and then try setting it up again. ICRII should work just like NASCAR2 (when selecting steering, steer left). If you are using the Windows version, try using Thrustmaster's ProPanel applet: ftp://208.129.210.78/pub/library/calibration/propanelv11.exe -- **************************** Michael E. I have scowered this newgroup for the meaning of this acronym...MGPRS2! What is it. And please don't tell me it is a driving sim...I know that much.

Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2, sequel (though not radically updated) to Formula 1 Racing Simulation, by Ubisoft. They didn't get FIA licensing, but did get licensing from Monaco, thus the name change. Also means you have to update the fictitious team/driver names, but easily done. Check out www.f1racingsim.com/f1rs2 for more info.
