with these drivers i can now run GPL at 800x600 (fps kinda slow though) on
my viper 330 and no GPF when exiting the game.

If you are still holding on to that RIVA 128/ZX in hopes of a TNT-2, here's
something that might just brighten your weekend. These reference drivers are
from Microsoft's WHQL site, and *should* work on AGP and PCI style RIVA
128/ZX boards. Quite a few good testimonials have been posted in the
discussion groups, so I thought it might be nice for more people to test
them out. If you would like to download the 2.83 drivers (the latest
official reference drivers are 2.77), you can get the Win 98 version, that
should also work on Win 95. Some of the good things said are less cracking
in OpenGL games and improved OGL performance, some D3D fixes (FF7), possibly
slower D3D, etc. As always, have an old copy of the drivers you are
currently using handy, in case you want to go back.
