This question may have already been asked here. If so, I apologize. Does,
or will GPL have any support for Direct 3D? I just got the game, and I have
a Viper 550 card. I have to use software 3d, and 10 fps isn't cutting it!
Thanks.

I highly doubt that Sierra will make a graphics engine strong enough for just
Direct 3D graphics.
As someone else posted on this board, If you're looking to play JUST
Papyrus games, then the Hercules Thriller is probably your best bet for a 3D
card. (This is not to knock the Voodoo's though....)
Try the OpenGL patch available from www.papy.com. You'll likely need to
use the .48 Reference drivers from NVidia. There are still some issues
with the mirrors, but it's a marked improvment over software.

No.
There is a OpenGl patch, and since Viper 550 (TNT) supports this, you
can have a much better framerate. The patch should be available at:
http://www.papy.com
but I am not sure...
Don't forget to install OpenGL drivers for your Viper, if not done
already.

There is a beta Opengl driver available at www.papy.com. I used it with the
diamond 226 drivers first but only got 640*480 (higher crashed the game and
ruined my player.ini); the full 36 fps on a Celeron450A.
Today I switched to the nvidea 0.48 driver (www.nvidea.com), and I am
running fine at 800*600 with just the mirror refresh reduced to 1/4 as
explained with the opengl driver.

Anybody using the STB nVidia TNT 3D with 16 mB ram? I just got a 450 mhz Dell
with this card and am wondering whether GPL will run with this hardware.
Thanks in advance.
It will using the Opengl driver from www.papy.com and either its own drivers
or the 0.48 TNT reference driver from www.nvidea.com.
