OK, I know I've done this before with N2, but I'm doing something wrong now.
I've made a copy of the Taladega folder, renamed it to Daytona; renamed the
.dat and .txt files to Daytona.dat and Daytona.txt; edited the Daytona.txt
file; it's coming up on the event list, but when I pick it to race, I get
"cannot load complete track description". What else did I forget? Anyone see
it? I'd appreciate any guidance.
Thanks,
Chris
You have to unpack the dat file... there are a few files in there that need to be
renamed then repack it accordingly. That should do it.

inside to "daytona", then edit the taladega.pck file and rename it
(daytona.pck) and then pack the daytona.dat file. Try that on n1999!

I'm having the same problem with daytona and indy that I snatched off the
net. The tracks came with an exe that is supposed to pack and unpack the
files and change everything for you. But when I put them in the calender
and try to race them, I get a cannot load complete track description error.
I am not sure what is wrong. any help is appreciated.
