Maybe I'm missing something, but can someone tell me why I have to
recalibrate my wheel everytime I start GPL? Am I missing something?

I had the same problem(among others) before I returned the wheel. The only way
I could solve it was to remove the SuperSport in the Windows control panel game
controllers menu, and add it back as a custom, 4axis (didn't work on 3)
4button(max in WIN95) race car controller, bypassing the new TM drivers. Then
just calibrate it like you would any joystick. It held the settings after that
fine, but you lose the last two buttons. I think it's a driver problem that TM
will need to address.
And keep an eye on your wheel's calibration. Mine wouldn't stay centered at
all. A friend's SuperSport that I tried today worked great initially , but
seems to be developing the same roving center problem though it's less than a
week old. They may have a QC problem.
