This relates directly to my total dissapointment in the Win95 native
.exe of Nascar 1999.
It's not there...
You have to run the old DOS version to do MultiPlayer races :(

Well what the hell is the matter with you guys? Didn't you read the
system specs on the box before you bought the frigging game?
I'm sure it clearly states that the DOS executable is required for
multiplayer.

Well, some things are taken for granted and expected, just out of
normality.
I guess we can't take anything for granted in reference to Nascar any
more. We shouldn't trust them to do the wrong thing.

I think it is normal for one to expect the new Win9x executable version
of a game to be more FEATURE COMPLETE than the old, re-packaged DOS
version that's in the same box...
It would never cross my mind to check for stupid ommissions like this.
I have all the OS's, 128MB of RAM, 19GB of Hard Drive Space, A Monster
II, A G-460, and a 300Mhz Pentium II. I don't generally bother reading
System Requirement Boxes :)

I have a similar setup, and I ALWAYS read the requirements... you
never know.
Remove the -nospam- from the email address. Sorry, I *had* to put it in.
I'm receiving more junk mail than ever now.

Correct. Only the requirements on the box do not explain anywhere that
DOS is required for multiplay. I sent a flaming diatribe to the editor in
cheif of Computer *** World. We will see what happens. I think
it was totally dishonest of Sierra to package the game that way. I
also think that if they clearly explained that multiplay required DOS
their sales for this title would suck.
Oh and incase you guys didn't know, my previous post was
sarcastic.

Sounds like what the minimum requirements for NASCAR 2000/N3 with 39 cars and
all the features turned on are gonna be.

So, if you have any 'windows-only' hardware, like network card or modem, you
can't USE it? That SUCKS... :(
