Does anyone know where to get this program from. There is a Freeware utility
around to remove DirectX
Peter
Just wondering why you would want to remove it ?

It's easy enough to do on your own.
1. Run reedit and delete the keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Direct3D
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Direct3D
Er... sorry about that, let me finish:
1. Run Regedit and delete:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Direct3D
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectDraw
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectMusic
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectPlay
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectShow
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectX
2. Delete C:\Program Files\DirectX
3. Reboot to DOS and go to c:\windows\system and start deleting files:
del ddraw*.*
del d3d*.*
del dinput*.*
del dsound*.*
del dplay*.*
del dpmodem*.*
del dpwsock*.*
del ddhelp*.*
del dxapi*.*
del dm*.dll

Your beta drivers are probably the 3Dfx ones, not DX6. Remove the reference
drivers and not MS DX6 drivers, as most games need them now.
