While digging around in the back of my video cabinet I discovered this
video that I had forgotten about.
It contains some excellent footage of the 67 season plus an insight
into the man himself and the cars that he drove. The other years also
provide good footage of the tracks that are in GPL.
It has reinforced the excellent job Papyrus has done in modeling the
tracks, though they did seem much bumpier in the video footage. The
vibrations from the track at Silverstone caused the Brabhams to loose
their rear view mirrors and Brabham gave this as an excuse for not
doing better there. Perhaps Papyrus should include the mirrors falling
of as a patch for this track.:-)
There were other videos in this series covering drivers from the
period, Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart are two that I definitely
remember seeing.
The full title of the video is "The Champions Sir Jack Brabham". It
was released in Australia under the *** Label and produced for Duke
Marketing by Hay Fisher Productions. The copyright is 1990 and I must
have bought it sometime in the early 90s.
If you can find any videos from this series, I can recommend buying
them ( I now wish Id bought the others).
