Colin McRae Rally 2

Just a note to say that I spoke to Colin McRae last Thursday about his game (I'm a rally journalist by trade so it's my job!). He remarked that it had sold much more than originally expected and said that a second version was "very likely". Apparently Codemasters are already working on it. But watch out for Rally Championship '99. Looks fantastic in PC Gamer this month! John

A CMR 2 with fixes to the current missings would be great! Rally Champ 99, is this a Europress release? in that case I'm sceptic to the handling.... /Stefan -- ========================================================== Software Developer Phone(Work): (0)243-886 01 Columna AB Phone(Cell): (0)70- 665 75 67 "Computers are like airconditioners; they stop working if you open Windows" ==========================================================
It is a Europress release, yes. Don't know much about the handling but they've gone to great lengths to improve graphics and sound. Plus apparently it actually allows you to leave the road big style. No more invisible walls! John

If they just gave us Network Q Rally Championship with improved graphics (instead of the 2 recent rehashes) most of us would be happy! >If they just gave us Network Q Rally Championship with improved graphics >(instead of the 2 recent rehashes) most of us would be happy! I think that's the general idea. I'm supposed to get a look at some running code early in December. Will keep you posted. John
Not me. The handling was awful. It was impossible to set up a slide, when you finally lost control the spins were not realistic, and the car would stop in, what, about 2 feet if you threw it sideways. Frustrating. Colin McRae gets much closer to the right "feel". Stephen
