Get to the Mall quick, before it closes. EB has it! Ok, I know I am not the first, but I just wanted to confirm that NASCAR 1999 Edition is out. I went to EB at the Mall on the way home from work to see if I could pick up Viper Racing. Well, Viper was there, and, lo and behold so was NASCAR 1999 Edition. Holy Cow, I have never been so surprised in my life. A double score. Man this is great. I can't believe how wrong the date predictions of December 12th turned out to be. Ok, I have not installed yet, but here are some details. price $49.99 has a trade in coupon for some other games, not sure about this yet. On the CD: NR1999, NROS (NASCAR2 plus TEN and Enablers), GPL demo, and Directx -- Matt please respond to "mracer" at that isp called "mindspring dot com"

Isn't Nascar 99 sort of a step back from GPL? Sort of a money magnet until Nascar gets the new physics engine? Tell me if I'm all confused here, I've been wrong before. rob.

Does N2 99 have force feedback support?? I have not heard anything about it until I picked up a Best Buy ad today and saw their ad for the game claiming FF support

That's exactly what it is. Papy knows that their "lemmings" will buy anything they put on the shelves....so this will just help finance N3.

People continue to amaze me. N2/1999 is NOT a step back from anything. GPL is a COPMPLETELY different engine than N2. It's certainly an upgrade for people who want double-file restarts, Craftsman trucks, more tracks, and better 3dfx support. This is an enhancement to an existing product, probably released to maintain a high level of interest in a that produuct until they can get around to releasing N2000. It's certainly got more meat than the 50th Anniversary ***they tried to pull a few months back. Why don't you morons do a little research and use yer ***in heads before spouting un-filtered bullshit into a public forum? SFA

I'd say it's a step up for N2. I wish everyone would quit comparing N99 to GPL. N3/N2000 is based on the GPL program. It's in the works. N99 has many new tracks, double file restarts, better 3d support...etc. Since N2000 was delayed, I'm tickled they came out with N99. Not only that, but the game is free if you use the trade-in coupon on the box. All you have to do is send in an old game from another developer and they will refund your money. I can't understand why people complain when new products are put out. If ya don't wanna buy it, don't.
