OK, I finally broke down and bought GPL, but.....
CompUSA has a rebate offer where you mail Sierra a sports related CD from
one of the major gamers, and they'll reimburse the full price of GPL!
So... Now i'm in search of a sports game under $10 :-)
Anyway.....
I've got a PII - 266, 64 Meg of SDRAM, and a 4meg Viper V330 (Riva 128 based
PCI video card)
It seems that it with the OpenGL Beta 2 It doesn't matter if I'm running
incar or chase camera view I get around 12-15 fps with the mirrors set to
cars only (the lowest setting) and everything else turned on....
If I were to add a Voodo II based card to my PCI viper, what kind of
increase in framerate could I expect ??? Any idea???

Any guess, any guess. Yeah, well, I don't have the same spec. as you do, but
my system runs about 15 - 20 fps without AI (VooDoo II, P233,
64 MB) and about 10 fps if I don't use the VooDoo >> increase of 100%!!!
If it's that great with your system, I don't know, but it's always more then
only software-rendering
