Yesterday I was racing online at Rouen with about six other guys and
during the start sequence I couldn't see another car. I raced several
laps without seeing anybody, and my pitboard kept giving me strange
readings - I was 4 laps behind the leader and 2 laps ahead of the guy
behind me after only about five laps. I eventually saw a couple of cars
here and there, but it was very spooky.

I have found that I usually get disconnected during the switch-over from
practice to race IF I haven't set a qualifying time. If I set one it's
OK, otherwise I get booted.
Also I was hosting a race on my 33.6 connection today and the other cras
seemed to disappear at the start. I never found out what happened as my
computer crashed going through Malmedy on lap one, disconnecting
everyone!
Cheers!

Exactly the same thing happened to me, one hour practice, no problems at all.
Got on the grid, no other cars and about ten seconds later I was gone. I did
have a good qualifying time. Hope someone can figure it out, it've pretty
discouraging.

this seems to happen when there are two many cars for the host
connection/cpu. check out vroc and make sure your host is limiting cars.
I have seen this happen time and time again even when the host has cable and has been
known to host 16+ car races. And it does it with as few as 6 or 8 drivers or even less
:((((((
