Greetings, I purchased the Thrustmaster Formula T2 -- as part of Computer City's closeout sale. However, when I opened the box, I noticed there was no software bundled with it. Being an absolute novice at this -- did I get the shaft on this deal? -- or, am I simply supposed to plug it in and expect it to work? The latter, I might add, has not resulted in anything. Before closing, I'd like an informed opinion as to what is considered the most compatible (among the many available racing games) steering wheel setup on the market. Thanks in advance for whatever information I get from this query. A response to my email address would be most appreciated. Respectfully, Steven Oxner

Just download the ProPanel from TM's web site, and you'll be all set. There is no other software... -Larry > I purchased the Thrustmaster Formula T2 -- as part of Computer City's > closeout sale. I am not sure, but I thought you should have gotten a diskette with some sorta files (though you really don't need much). For help head to http://www.thrustmaster.com/support/wheel_docs/genT1,T2.htm You should also get TM's ProPanel (not needed for Win98) at ftp://208.129.210.78/pub/library/calibration/propanelv11.exe There is a great DOS utility called TMScope at ftp://208.129.210.78/pub/library/calibration/tmscope.exe % Before closing, I'd like an informed opinion as to what is considered the most % compatible (among the many available racing games) steering wheel setup on the % market. Thrustmaster created the steering wheel setup and most of the racing game developers work with them when they code their software. However, most wheels are designed to work with most sims. Some of the FF wheels may not work with older DOS only sims. -- **************************** Michael E. Naw, when I bought my t2 it was before they (Thrustmaster) came out with the Pro Panel, ( the presumed missing diskette). That wheel, with 95 (Better do the service packs from Microsoft if it isnt OSR2...) is very good / compatable... since you posted, you can get propanel from TM's web page... T2's are still almost preffered of the Thrustmaster line... I bought me a Nascar Pro, it lasted 1 month, then the buttons on the wheel were not working... You better keep up your web account.... you will be replacing pedal springs!!!!! TM will send em to ya pretty fast and free usually!!!
