Looking for any tips if you got this working. With mine, I see the opening
splash screen, minus the number code at bottom and then it dumps me back to
my desktop. It works fine on my Voodoo 1 card. What settings are you
using with your Matrox? Did you need to turn off or on any of the advanced
properties of the G200?

Hi Daniel,
I did get my G200 to work. Fortunately it worked off-the-bat.
I haven't given it a full test, but it did get 30fps. I think it was
stuck at a max of 30fps because my screen refresh was 60Hz.
(60/2 = 30) Just the groove graphic looks bad as documented
in the patch.
However, trying to get my system working with my Monster1
was really frustrating. I had to do a clean install of Win98.
I still haven't upgraded my SB AWE64 drivers from the
Win98 defaults -- I believed that was the problem and
am a bit hesitant to install the new SB drivers.
I'm using DirectX 6.

Defaults. Make sure you set your desktop to 640x480 16bit color.
Also run GPL with 640x480.
Make sure 32 bit Z-buffer is NOT checked. (Makes the card really slow)
My Matrox drivers are as follows (as seen from the Matrox Display Information
tab):
