Need for this sort of sim? pls respond...

Isn't Viper racing sort of like this?

What would people think of an ultra-realistic high performance car sim? Something like a Porsche, modelled very realistically with regards to performance and physics, with cityscape and countryscape driving enviroment along with the obligatory racetrack? Full engine and systems details, with the ability to fiddle with setups and options...... Something along the lines of MS Flight Sim, but for a ground bound vehicle (not saying that MSFS is actually that realistic). I'm sure there would be a market. Any thoughts?

Viper looks a little too NFS-ish to me to be classified as a true sim.

To be honest, the idea of drving or racing "supercars" doesn't really e*** me in a Sim. I'm really only interested in sim's of racing series. Z.

Cross Gran Turismo with the GPL engine and release for PC... Sounds good, don't get me wrong, but maybe the GT 'race series' bit would add some essential long-term gameplay. Jonny PC fanatic - get rid of those damn consoles!:)

Yeah, well..not really,. It comes close, but not close enough. Physics are ok, nothing like GPLs though....and since it only has one type of car its not nearly as fun as GT. :) I'm waiting for PSCR and see if its an equal of GPL>

Ron, In Viper Racing....change your suspension height to 20 inches, then ask again if it is a sim or not. It may simulated some parts of the Viper, (graphically, and such) But really, Viper Racing has still got a long way to go before too many will classify it as a true SIM. Dont get me wrong, some will.......MOST wont.

Whatever compared ViperRacing with NFS. That's silly! But of course I am NOT comparing it with GPL.
