Indycar Racing 2 - patch?

I know this is an oldy, I just had to get it back out after being dissapointed with MS's CPR. Anyway, I tried to run the patch for version 1.0.0 and it patched quite a few files, then died with an error that said that a similar file had been found and that nothing would be updated.? I did go into all of my track dirs and made sure that the .txt files were not marked "read only". It's been a while since I had this program running, could anyone give me the proper procedure for running the patch? Thanks! -- Scott Golden Lexis-Nexis Product Packaging (937)865-6800 x5354

You may need to do a fresh install, just to be sure all is intact. FWIW, the patch needed is ICR_102.EXE, and needs to be run (as you probably know) from the main ICR2 directory. With a fresh install (full, not partial), the patch should work fine. Note: Make sure to make backups of all your setups and carsets! The other patches needed (if you're into painting) are the files for the ICR2 Paintkit (not patched with ICR_102). The files are PATCHPKT.COM and PKIT102.EXE. You can download them from most sites, but here's a link to get you going: ICR_102.EXE: http://www.simracing.com/downloads/pc/patches/sierra/icr_102.exe PATCHPKT.COM: http://www.simracing.com/downloads/pc/patches/sierra/patchpkt.com PKIT102.EXE: http://www.simracing.com/downloads/pc/patches/sierra/pkit102.exe Hope this helps. Cheers! Marc
