Hi All
I just bought the full version of GPL.
Only one problem. I use the Thrustmaster GP1 steering wheel, and have
noticed that I cannot use the paddles behind the wheel for the throttle and
brake.
In the demo, the wheel worked fine.
Any ideas?
Regards

My regular opponent uses the GP1 with the paddles behind the wheel as throttle
and
brake without problem,

When I go to the calibrate screen, I have two axes. When I push the right
lever, axis 2 moves the left, and vice versa for pushing the left paddle.
After calibrating the wheel, I then assign the controls. When I try to
assign the levers to accel and brake, they cancel each other out.
The only way I can do it is to use the buttons on the wheel (not a good idea
though).
Any hints?

When you calibrate the paddles in GPL, do they show up under the Axis 1
as Brake/Throttle?
Are you using Direct Input? If so do you use the adaptor for the GP1?
Do you have another device plugged into your gameport? Whenever I try
to use the GP1 with my pedals, the paddles will not register properly in
GPL.
As a last resort, you may want to try cleaning the pots on the paddles.

I have the same problem, and it is annoying.
If I try to set the throttle to use a paddle, the brakes get set to
"unassigned". Then when setting the brakes, the same thing happens to
the throttle.
Anyone get it to work?
Marc.

I am at a loss for the cause of this problem. I just tried out my old
GP1 wheel and GPL accepted the paddles for throttle and brake in both
direct input and generic. The only thing I can think of is that the
pots maybe dirty and need some cleaning. You may not be getting a good
range of input from the paddles in the calibration and then GPL will not
recognize them as an axis but as buttons, or only as 1/2 of an axis.
Also you may want to double check and make sure you have "poll with
interrupts enabled" unchecked in the Control Panel joystick/game
controllers.
