Help, help
The spring broke of my Thrustmaster Formula 1 (=Nascar Pro)
I bought it somewhere in july or august, so I got waranty.
So I got some questions I hope you could answer
1. The on steer buttons don't fuctions too. Reason?
2. Do/would TM give me new springs ?
3. Can they be fixed without tm's help ?
Thanks a lot!
Bart
Yes, go to www.thrustmaster.com and go to the support area. You can send
them a message about your problems. They have sent me springs, pots, and
bungees...

tying a bungee cord around the pedal and clipping to the base worked
great while waiting for new springs to arrive. They will send you new
ones if you request them.

Ok, explain to me how buying a $150 wheel is in any way comparable to
getting free springs from TM, or some $5-$10 stuff at a hardware store to
fix the unit he currently has. If he were looking for a NEW wheel, THEN
maybe try to sell him something else - not by slamming the competition but
explaining WHY the MS wheel is good.
And while TM may not be the end all be all of racing wheels, they are not
"junk". For the $100 they are quite nice, and they have nice support. The
only other thing I'd consider personally would be TSW. If Microsoft's wheel
is anything like their joysticks, I for one am not impressed. Most everyone
I know who get's a MS stick replaces it not too long afterwards, or they're
not a serious gamer like me <g> and don't mind them, because they don't use
them....
No, no Thrustmaster troll / worshiper here, I use CH Pedals and Suncom SFS
stick / throttle, and a Gravis Gamepad pro. But haven't used any of those
much lately, too much GPL <g>.

UK of support is excellent.
They know there is a problem & have set up an excellent mechanism for
getting them out quickly to their users.
No messing about with receipts or anything - just email them & they will
send you a complete set of springs (or whatever).
