Anyone know or have some hot setups for the Eagle? I race all but I like the Eagle 1st & Lotus 2nd. Got great setups for the Lotus but cant find anything for the Eagle. I am stuck at the plateau of always 11th to14th in each race. I am in the Advanced Trainers mode for now! Any help will be appreciated!! Fretts: Check out Alisons site (see above about three or four posts for the URL). It has several good setups for the Eagle. I'm still looking for a good setup for Watkins Glen. I posted to this board a few days ago and asked if anyone had it. The only response I got was from some clown who saw fit to repeat the old chestnut about how you get to Carnegie Hall .... practice, practice, practice. I thought about responding that it doesn't matter how much you practice if your piano is out of tune but didn't ... :) If you come across anything else let me know, I like the Eagle too. Joe

Basically I think the key to Watkins is smoothness especially through the esses, you have to carry as much speed as possible into that straight, a good setup can help you but it won't do a thing if you're driving the wrong lines, not braking in the right places or not carrying enough speed. Personally even when I do get a good setup from someone, it still takes a lot of tweaking before it works well with my personal style since I trail brake a lot, and I tend to follow the black lines for the most part, not scrubbing as much speed by throwing the car sideways like some of the Hotlap replays I've seen, so setups for these replays usually don't fit me well. I've found however that it is *still* possible to be fast by being smooth, which to me feels more realistic than driving that aggressive style which I could never keep up for more than 1 or 2 good laps. Since you are looking in specific for an Eagle Watkins setup here follows my Watkins Eagle Setup, it is good for 1:06:17 at Watkins (done in a race), and by driving for the most part smoothly along the black lines, no excessive car tossing. It's based on Doug Arnao's setup which I downloaded off of Alison's site, it's tweaked a bit to allow trail braking, and adjusted things here and there to my tastes. That's the thing with downloading other people's setups, they are good to get ideas from, but odds are they won't be geared for the same driving style you use. You can gain a lot more time by practicing the tracks and learning how to drive them smoothly at the 99% of the limit. One interesting thing I found is that my Zandvoort setup works well for me at Nurburgring, better than the default, so it just goes to show that the only way to figure this stuff out is to practice experiment practice :-) Anyhow here follows my setup, thanks to Doug Arnao and Alison Hine for making these available to us, hope it helps you or at least gives you some ideas.
