CMR, oh yeah!

As a rally-fanatic I've always wanted a good rally-sim, CMR might not be a true sim in all aspects, but comparing it to previous rallysims (RAC,IRC, perhaps Screamer Rally) it just rocks! The thrill of driving the Aussie stages at full speed over the bumps is just amazing! The only thing I have to complain about so far is unfortunatly the Swedish stages. Because I am a swede, I know that the grip on ice and snow with the studdy tires they use is just fantastic, in fact better than om loose gravel at summer, but I can understand that people not used to winter-rally (probably everybody not living in Scandinavia ;) thinks that grip doesn't exist on this rally. Hmm, I'm probably complaining because I'm lousy so far on the Swedish stages, need to practice some more to master those stages... /Stefan -- ========================================================== Software Developer Phone(Work): (0)243-886 01 Columna AB Phone(Cell): (0)70- 665 75 67 "Computers are like airconditioners; they stop working if you open Windows" ==========================================================
Woo! Hoo! Yee hah! I love CMR as well, even if it does have it's faults. The gameplay is just fantastic! Woo! Hoo! Yee hah! (Ok. So maybe that was slightly over the top)
Hey, I'm with you there. Growing up in Canada, we also had some pretty *** winters. One develops a fine appreciation of car physics, and also learns that there is lots of grip there if you know where to find it. RAC and IRC bothered me because there was too much grip once you started the car sliding (that is, you could never really spin it in a realistic fashion, and the car came grinding to a halt as soon as it was sideways, like it was on rough tarmac). Now with CMR it's like the world is coated with oil. Someone is bound to find the right compromise soon, I hope. Stephen
