Just wondering if anyone has run gpl without o/clocking a 300a. What kind of results? Just got my 300a (still waiting for my bh6 mb to arrive ). I know the odds are pretty good that I'll be able to overclock successfully but if I can't I'd like to know how well it will run gpl. Thanks

I've got a Celeron 333 A (not overclocked) and (still) a Voodoo1. For constant 36 fps, which are IMHO _a lot_ better than 30 fps (don't know why, but at 27-30 fps the game stops for a tenth of a second every second or so, must be a technical issue), I need to turn off many mirror details (who cares...) and, that's annoying, the tire tracks (sorry, couldn't find it in the dictionary...I mean the darker parts of the track where you should drive). Obviously alpha-blending takes too much time on my old V1 - time to replace it. At the start of the race, with 10 cars in front of me, I get roughly 17-20 fps, which is still o.k. for driving. Pretty playable I'd say, assuming you've got a decent 3d card (i.e. Voodoo or Rendition). Daniel -- Daniel Lichtenberger, Vienna/Austria

It will run fine at 300 but it runs great at 374, 450 wasn't much better, get an 8 meg thriller. btw dave mansell runs a celery300a at 374. > Just wondering if anyone has run gpl without o/clocking a 300a.
