I just got this wheel and I'm having trouble with CPR and MTM2. I had MTM2 before I got the wheel and it ran flawlessly on my system (PII - 300 64meg ram 12mb SB Voodo2 SB AWE 64 Gold - Win98 - 300mb permanent swap file). Now that I installed this wheel both of these sims run like crap. I get frames rates bouncing from 60+ to 4 all the time. I even turned off the FF and still get the problem. The wheel works great in GPL and NFSIII, so I don't know what to try. I upgraded Directx to 6 and got the d3d drivers from 3dfx, but this doesn't help. I tired switching from 3dfx to d3d in MTM2 and that didn't help either. Anyone else have this problem or know what the heck is going on? Note: If I hold down a keyboard ket the game runs fine, but ass soon as I let go of the key it starts juming from 60fps to 4fps. Thanks in advance for any help or sympathy.
Any programs running in the background? Virus, Norton util, ICQ, etc They running bare bones win95 system.Shut off all than doesnt need to be on.
