First ,i'd like to say VROC is great.Congrats to Alison's Hine(Tough to
beat her!!!!!)and the apex guys.
But during the weekend i had an annoying problem.I was disconnected from
the race by being disconnected from my isp.I noticed then that my
original address.ini wasn't restored.I found out that VROc has made a
address.bck(backup file),then i renamed it and everything went back to
normal.Later ,i had the same problem ,but this time there was no
address.bck and i lost all my already big address book.
Maybe we should make an own address.ini backup file.Or maybe VROC could
put the ip number direct to the proper field when you join a race,
instead of changing our original address.ini file.

Rafael, I'm sorry that you lost you address.ini. I will forward this on to
Alison (she does the Java, I do the CGI and DB stuff). We could alter the
player.ini file but that posses a couple problems. First If there are
multiple player names which one do you use? Second if you lost your
player.ini file I think you would be more unhappy then loosing your
address.ini file. The real solution is to have GPL so that it will accept an
iP as a command line parameter. We have sent email to Papyrus and Sierra
asking them if they can do so in a patch. While we are not holding are
breaths hopefully they will do so and we will not even have to touch your
address.ini file.
Thanks,
John
