I just got this wheel and I'm having trouble with CPR and MTM2. I had MTM2 before I got the wheel and it ran flawlessly on my system (PII - 300 64meg ram 12mb SB Voodo2 - Win98 - 300mb permanent swap file). Now that I installed this wheel both of these sims run like crap. I get frames rates bouncing from 60+ to 4 all the time. I even turned off the FF and still get the problem. The wheel works great in GPL and NFSIII, so I don't know what to try. I upgraded Directx to 6 and got the d3d drivers from 3dfx, but this doesn't help. I tired switching from 3dfx to d3d in MTM2 and that didn't help either. Anyone else have this problem or know what the heck is going on? Thanks in advance for any help or sympathy.

OK.. found something really strange. If I hold down a keyboard key.. such as the spacebar.. the game runs normally. If I stop pressing a key it jumps all over the place again. I have reinstalled everything, defragged and even reinstalled the keyboard drivers to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

Where did you guys get this wheel and what are your impressions of it? I was told that this wasn't going to be released until November.

I got mine from EB about a week ago I love the wheel it works great with nfs 3 but I just read a review at gamespot and they were pretty much saying that the act labs wheel was better. It's cheaper that's for sure but I haven't had any experience with that one, but so far I love the microsoft one but it's a bit pricey but I traded in a bunch of old playstation games in towards it.

>I know this doesn't help, but I have the the MS wheel and MTM2 and have not >had a problem. Now combining the wheel with N2 on the other hand... What about it? The wheel is supposed to work fine in a W95/W98 DOS box. This is how I planned on using it with N2. With the faster computers you should be able to run N2 from a DOS box anyway. I have a P5-200MMX and it runs fine... I'm thinking about getting the MS FF but it sure as hell better work with N2 or forget it :-) -- Header address intentionally scrambled to ward off the spamming hordes. cisko [AT] ix [DOT] netcom [DOT] com
