GPL Turning off terrain textures

1 post by 1 person · 17 Oct 1998 - 17 Oct 1998

I turned off terrain textures last evening, and found that the track is now "wider" by the width of the rumble strips. :) I had an aversion to running over the red and white things, but now, they don't look too much different from the grass farther in from the edge. I can drive on them at will now, without flinching. Frame rates up 4 from 32 to 36. I also tried turning off wall textures, but found I need them to judge speed. I'll try dispensing with track textures next. Michael.
